Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve is South Africa’s oldest game park. Set in the heart of Zululand, its rolling 96 000 hectare wilderness contains a spectacular diversity of wildlife, flora and fauna. The park offers Big Five game viewing, with frequent lion and wild dog sightings. Hluhluwe-Imfolozi is renowned for its conservation of white rhino, and it is one of the best places to see the highly endangered animals, with the largest population in the world.
The park is made up of two regions – Hluhluwe, the northern hilly region, and Imfolozi, the southern region, which is made up of grasslands, savannah and woodlands.
